It’s also a great way to learn about yourself and to expand your understanding of the world. This program has been customized to enable you to experience Nepal in a short amount of time that will not demand much time away from work or your campus.
*100% of the proceeds from the Nepal Program will go toward AFH Foundation’s international projects helping to aid children in the Himalayan region.
The program is designed to enable you to cover a variety of sites and aspects of Nepal while you are there. This includes sight-seeing of world heritage sites in Kathmandu and Pokhara, boating in the Phewa Lake, and visits to Davis Falls, bat caves, and even a monkey temple (with real monkeys all over the temple!). We provide service opportunities and adventure in Dhading District! During the program, you will see and observe different cultural and religious practices given Nepal’s religious diversity.
And it goes without saying that you will experience breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain range. You will experience what it’s like to be with a local Nepali host family and assist with sustainable economic projects such as teaching, working on microsavings projects, training business owners, or participating in health projects to improve the community's health, depending on your field of interest or expertise.
